Product Description
For cylinders from 1/2" up to 2" bore.
This lubricator should be attached to the steam chest or fitted to the steam line close to the engine by a tee. Opening a needle valve lets steam pass into the lubricator. Steam condenses in the lubricator and sinks to the bottom. Oil is displaced by the water and passes into the steam line, lubricating the engine. Lubricator may be refilled by closing the needle valve, opening the drain valve to remove water, and removing the cover plug to refill with oil.
LUB-1: 5/8" diameter brass body, approximately 2-5/8" long, with 1/4-40 threads. LUB-2: 5/8" diameter brass body, approximately 2" long, 3/16-40 threads.Product Videos

I have lubricators from several different sources and this is the only one that can be filled while the unit is running as all others are in-line as opposed to on a T fitting. This has a needle valve that can shut off the steam completely to allow topping up without disrupting the flow to the engine.

This LUB-1 displacement lubricator is necessary and easy to install in the steam engine feed line. It works so well that my PMR #7 twin cylinder steam engine will run on only 4 psi, It's easy to fill with steam oil, easy to adjust and easy to drain. I would recommend it for all steam powered systems of this size.
